Helfštýn Castle

Dear visitors, you are on the official website of Helfštýn Castle. Please welcome and accept our invitation to visit the castle itself. Helfštýn Castle is a cultural monument managed by the Comenius Museum in Přerov, a contributory organization.

The monumental castle architecture of Helfštýn towers over the valley of the Moravian Gate. The whole complex consists of a number of utilitarian and fortification buildings. Four courtyards are currently accessible here. The castle has five gates, numerous bastions, towers and an extensive system of internal and external fortifications. Its size makes it one of the largest castles in Europe.
